The Lost of an ANGEL & The Demise of a KING
The Lost of An ANGEL & The Demise of A KING...
Part of my growing up ritual includes hearing “older” people talking about “remember James Dean…? The day Elvis died… What happened to Marilyn Monroe..? etc…”. Frankly, I don’t get it??!!But now… I can be sure that one day, my kids or some young little fellar will hear the same thing, but it’s about “REMEMBER Michael Jackson?”
As I twitt this morning, “we lost an Angel and a King this week…”
For the entertainment industry, Farrah Fawcett is like Angelina J in our time. Her lost battle with CANCER made it a double sadness.
As for Michael Jackson, will we ever dare to compare him with anyone?
Set aside all those weird stuff he might or might not have done. But when it comes to proper MJ concerts and performance especially during his heydays, any singers/performers in this generation or many generations to come will use MJ as their benchmark which probably will never be overcome.
I was asked this morning which MJ song do I like most? I really can’t answer that then… But maybe because it’s not his songs. It’s his aura that he has brought to this World and his charm that have changed the industry forever.
I am not a MJ fan in any sense for the record, but to find someone who doesn’t know who is MJ in this generation; it’s harder than winning the EURO Jackpot ;)
Funnily, I got this email to invite me to buy MJ concert tickets and I was seriously thinking of buying it (getting it is another matter). For those who have bought the tickets, I guess you might have just got yourself the greatest piece of memorabilia closest to MJ. For those who didn’t, THIS IS IT!!!
